HC Verification: what the verified badge means
What the HC Verified badge means on kudos, customer relationships, and business cases — how verification works and how to request it.
What does HC Verified mean?
When you see the HC Verified badge next to a kudos, a customer relationship, or a business case, it means Human Cloud has independently confirmed that content with the customer involved. Think of it like a background check: the solution told us something, and we checked it before vouching for it.
Verification is never automatic. Every verified item was reviewed and approved by the Human Cloud team — no algorithm stamps the badge on its own.
What gets verified
- Kudos — recognition a customer gave a solution. Verification confirms the person and their relationship to the solution are real.
- Customer relationships — the customer logos a solution lists. Verification confirms the solution actually works (or worked) with that company.
- Business cases — written case studies. Verification confirms the engagement and outcomes with the named customer.
How verification works
- A solution submits content (or a customer submits it directly, as with kudos).
- Until it is verified, the content is labeled self-reported — visible, but clearly marked as unconfirmed.
- The Human Cloud team contacts the customer or reviews supporting evidence, then approves or declines verification.
- Approved items get the HC Verified badge and a permanent verification record.
How it affects the HC Score
Verified content carries significantly more weight in a solution's HC Score than self-reported content. This cuts both ways: verified praise counts for more, and verified critical feedback counts against a score more than unverified feedback. That is what keeps the score honest.
How to request verification
If you manage a solution profile, you can request verification for your kudos, customers, and business cases from your solution dashboard. The Human Cloud team reviews each request — most are processed within a few business days.
Can a verification be removed?
Yes. If content is edited after verification, it loses its verified status and must re-earn it. Human Cloud can also revoke a verification if new information contradicts it.
