Consulting is surging. Verticals are deepening.
For two quarters we have said generalist staffing would lose share to vertical specialists and fractional operators. This week's search data is exactly that. Here is what companies are actually procuring.
1. Consulting is surging. "Consulting" searches jumped +300% this month. Fractional executive searches rose with it. Buyers are not just looking for a body. They are looking for senior operators who can land in a quarter and deliver.
2. Verticals are deepening. "Aerospace," "Healthcare," "Truck Driver," and "Childcare" all appeared as new or growing searches. This is the signal that the platform has moved past tech and creative into the specialized corners of the economy.
3. Brand searches are a new signal. "Worksome," "beecrowd," "Native Teams," "Atlas," and "Catalant" all showed up as direct brand queries this week. Buyers are arriving with a shortlist and using Human Cloud to verify.
4. EOR is still the anchor. EOR has been the top search on the platform since December and it held the top spot again this week. The category is not slowing. The winners are the ones with clear specialization and a service layer beyond compliance.
This is not a simple contraction story. The U.S. labor market added more jobs than expected last month, but the broader signal is still caution: hiring has slowed, decision-making is tighter, and buyers are getting more targeted about where they spend. Human Cloud search behavior reflects that shift. Companies are still buying talent and workforce solutions, but they are leaning toward specialization, flexibility, and partners that reduce execution risk.
