About The Hack

On October 12th at BU’s Computing and Data Science building, we’re bringing together builders, researchers, and operators to explore how AI agents can move beyond demos and prototypes and start creating workflow automations that actually deliver value.

Our mission: Design and test AI-first automations that reduce repetitive tasks, improve coordination, and unlock new ways for humans and AI to collaborate. This isn’t about vaporware — it’s about building tools that make HR, consulting, and knowledge work smarter, faster, and more effective.

Workflows we’ll explore:

  • Auto-talent systems — find the right candidates, onboard them efficiently, and track employee progress
  • Strategy engines — analyze data and trends to generate actionable insights
  • Knowledge amplifiers — surface the right information across teams and projects
  • Negotiation partners — model scenarios and optimize deals and agreements

What to expect:

  • Building practical automations tied to real organizational challenges
  • Exploring how AI agents complement, not replace, human capabilities
  • Showcasing prototypes shaping the future of productive, AI-enabled work

Who is this ideal for:

AI startups, workflow and productivity platforms, corporate innovation teams, researchers, operators, and anyone interested in shaping the next generation of work.
